Dental implants may last longer than any other dental device. Most dental implants can last up to 30 years if you take care of them. Be sure that you brush and floss your teeth, including your implants, twice a day every day. You need to be sure that you floss underneath the dental implant as well because food can become trapped underneath your prosthetic tooth.

You can make sure your implants stay as pristine as possible. First, be careful with your implants. Don't open bottles or cans with your teeth. Don't chew overly sticky foods with your implanted tooth as well. You'll also want to make sure you wear a night guard if you grind your teeth or clench your jaw. If you take care of your implants, they will last for the rest of your life.
